Our experience with Horizon Taekwondo is always phenomenal. The instructors and staff are not only skilled but they are dedicated and hands-on; very caring people who truly invest in their students. My son has learned so much and grown in confidence with their support from their program (Lil’ Kickers). They practice learning different life skills each month and have testing to earn their stripes and belt upgrades after all of their hard work. Horizon also offers resources for practicing the curriculum at home that as a parent you can learn too. We’ve got to experience fun events outside of class, including summer camps, birthdays and tournaments. I also have to note how affordable it is and. I really can’t recommend the Horizon fam enough! 🫶🏻

This family has taken us under their wing and have trained Jax for 2 years. He couldn’t be happier and has excelled so much with Horizon Taekwondo. The patience, encouragement, respect and thoughtfulness they show every student makes them stand apart from other clubs. There is discipline yes but they do not yell at the students- respect goes both ways.

We joined Horizon over a year ago with our 8 year old son and the instructors have been amazing. They are super patient and have a passion for the sport which you can see when they teach. The environment is very welcoming and is a balance of strict and relaxed which allows the kids to learn and focus but also have fun at the same time. Our son has made friends and learned valuable physical skills like self-defense and TKD forms/patterns but also important life skills like hard work, perseverance and respect. Earlier this year we moved our 10 year old daughter who had a black belt from a different TKD style and school into Horizon to try and rebuild her love of the sport. I was worried that the students would struggle to accept her as some schools can be very "territorial" but all the students and teachers embraced her and made her feel comfortable during classes. They showed exceptional patience as she learned the ITF style and she went from having anxiety about TKD classes to being excited each week to go, see her friends, practice in an environment that is supportive and encourages team work and building bonds. Aside from the amazing environment and teachers Horizon is also very competitively priced making it a very affordable option for parents who want to keep their kids active. You get 2 classes a week (40-50 mins) which is amazing value for the cost. Even with belt tests, which other schools can go up to $90 a test every 3-4 months, Horizon focuses on keeping costs low. They've also been very flexible with equipment and don't force parents to buy expensive gear if they can't or when they don't need it. I have also really enjoyed the social aspect that Horizon has such as laser tag, nerf gun nights, summer gathering and other fun activities that students can take part in (some for a modest fee and others completely free). My kids have really enjoyed attending these and it has allowed them the opportunity to make new friends with similar interests outside of the school environment. I would highly recommend Horizon TKD to anyone wishing to learn the ITF style in a supportive and welcoming environment whether you want to enroll your kids or take part yourself as an adult.
